The experience gained as an enthusiastic traveller over the past fifteen years throughout Europe and USA have provided Miffie the opportunity to personally enjoy a vast array of galleries, artistic schools of thought and inspiration to study with.
Miffie is a formally trained artist having attended the RMIT and North Adelaide School of Art. A first prize winner of a competition to be the major commissioned artist for an Australian Government department. She is also a second prizewinner of the Norma Bull Portraiture Scholarship. Miffie's work is appreciated and admired both here and in the Art Centre Gallery, California.
Miffie has studied with Montsalvat's Artist in Residence, formal portraiture and as a member of Doncaster Templestowe Artists' Society, The Light Factory Gallery - Eltham and Victorian Artists' Society - East Melbourne has painted under the guidance of many talented tutors.
An inaugural member and frequent exhibitor, with the MONART group, Miffie enjoys hosting all her peers, to paint plein air at her beloved Pt Leo surf beach and enjoy sumptuous lunches on deck. She happily receives commssions for landscapes, still life and portraiture. |
