ARTIST BIO

GEOFF SARGEANT - ARTIST





Geoff was born in Melbourne and studied Architecture at Melbourne University and Interior Design at R.M.I.T.  He was a practising Architect concentrating on design.  Since 1991 he has worked as a professional artist in the medium of colour pencil on fine papers.  He is a Distinguished Fellow of the Australia Guild of Realist Artists (AGRA) and a member of the Color Pencil Society of America (CPSA).

Key Awards. Twice a Finalist in the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery's Biennial National Works on Paper 1995 & 2018. Three times a Finalist in the Waterhouse Natural Science Art Prize at the Museum of South Australia, 2008, 2011, 2018. Winner of Best in Show & Best Drawing at the Camberwell Rotary Show 2021. Finalist and Best Drawing in the Mortimore Art Prize, Dubbo NSW 2013. Best Drawing in the St Kevins Art Show (OMNIA) 2016. Plus many Awards and Prizes at AGRA and Local Rotary Shows.
